Do you recognise these signals?

Your website has been running for a few years. It "works", but is it actually delivering what you expect? These are the 5 most important signs that it's time for a new website.

1. Your website takes longer than 3 seconds to load

Open your own website on your phone. Count the seconds. If it takes longer than 3 seconds, you're losing more than half of your visitors.

Test it yourself: go to PageSpeed Insights and enter your URL. Scoring under 70? Then there's work to be done.

2. Your website doesn't look good on mobile

Grab your phone and take a critical look at your website:

  • Do you have to scroll horizontally?
  • Are buttons too small to tap?
  • Does text run off the screen?
  • Do images fail to load properly?

More than 60% of your visitors arrive via mobile. If your site doesn't work well there, you're losing customers.

3. You don't get any enquiries through your website

A website without conversions is like a shop without a cash register. If visitors don't:

  • Get in touch
  • Request a quote
  • Call or email

Then your website is probably missing clear calls to action, trust elements, or a logical user experience.

4. You can't be found on Google

Search for your most important keyword. Are you on page 1? If not, you're missing out on potential customers every day.

Common causes:

  • No SEO foundation: missing meta tags, slow site
  • Too little content: Google needs text
  • Outdated technology: old CMS platforms score poorly

5. You're embarrassed to share your website

This sounds simple, but it's telling. If you hesitate to share your website on LinkedIn, in a quote, or at a networking event, you know it's time.

Your website is your digital business card. It should inspire trust, not doubt.

What now?

Recognise 2 or more of these signs? Then it's time to act. A modern, fast website doesn't have to be expensive and can be live within 2 weeks.
